Skill vs Luck
One of IFP’s central goals is to educate government decision-makers throughout the world, as well as the general public, that poker is a game of strategic skill rather than mere luck - and so that it should be detached from the punitive legislation enacted for gambling. To this end, IFP aims to compile here in its Library a definitive collection of academic studies demonstrating the dominant role played by skill in the outcome of poker hands and games. Those studies gathered so far can be accessed below.
