Association for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Poker Enthusiasts

APRIPE was founded in 2009 following the exclusion of poker from the register of sports in Russia. Its goals are to represent the interests of Russian poker players in the new legislative environment and to lobby government decision makers to exclude poker from gaming legislation.

Although unable to run poker tournaments, APRIPE organises conferences and other events to raise awareness of the popularity of poker and to promote their cause.
