Federación Mexicana de Juegos de Cartas de Habilidad y Deportivas

The Federación Mexicana de Juegos de Cartas de Habilidad y Deportivas, A.C., (FMJCHD) is the national authority for the sport of poker, derived from its recognition by the Mexican Sports Confederation, A.C., (CODEME). FMJCHD is formed of local clubs who in turn affiliate players from all over Mexico.

The Federation's goals are to encourage and promote the development and organized practice of the sport of poker, as well as all card games involving skill and ability. the Federation also seeks to promote poker as a competitive recreational activity, a mind sport based on skill and played without any discrimination of race, sex and creed. FMJCHD also organizes tournaments and championships.

While Mexican gaming policies do not apply to sports poker, the FMJCHD continually questions these current policies with regard to the manner in which poker is treated, especially when taking into account the increasing number of poker enthusiasts in our country.

The policies in force today do not reflect this popularity. The FMJCHD main objective is to differentiate the game of sports poker from other betting related activities and to promote poker as a legal past time.
