Pókersamband Íslands  (Icelandic Poker Federation)

The Icelandic Poker Federation (IPF) was formed with the goal of promoting the safe and responsible playing of poker in Iceland. IPF is working to standardise tournament rules within Iceland and enforces a code of conduct for all participants in its events. IPF also strives to clarify the legal situation relating to poker in Iceland and to educate and inform government decision makers that poker is a skilled Mind Sport rather than a gambling game of chance.

Currently comprised of 10 member-clubs, IPF organises the annual Icelandic Poker Championships as well as monthly tournaments for its members. Participants in these tournaments gain player-points which determine the IPF player rankings and the Icelandic Poker Champion.
