German Poker Federation

The GFP was founded in May 2009 and today the federation has 48 member clubs. Between February and May 2010, 42 of those clubs are participating in the first season of the national GFP Heads-Up Team Championship. The national final with 16 finalists will take place in Regensburg from 8th to 9th of May 2010.

Since its foundation, the GFP has connected the main poker clubs across the country and built up a federation system on a regional basis. GFP’s member clubs have also organised a “Sit + Help Poker Charity” to collect money for Haiti’s earthquake victims.

GFP hopes to expand to 100 member clubs in regionally organised subdivisions by 2011.
