APoK - Asociace pokerových klubů o.s. - Asociation of poker clubs in Czech Republic

APoK was founded in 2007 by several poker clubs from across the Czech Republic. Their main aims are as they were three years ago – to promote poker as a Mind Sport and encourage more players to take up the game.

Over the last three years APoK has had many meetings with government officials to promote this view and much of the Association’s work is spent lobbying officials. That debate with lawmakers continues in the Czech Republic. APoK hopes that argument will be made easier now that the IFP has secured poker Mind Sport status with IMSA.

Currently APoK has approximately 30 member clubs across the country; a number will hope to grow over the coming months.
