Cypriot Poker

The Cypriot Poker Federation exists to to promote the development of poker in Cyprus and to secure its recognition as a mind sport based on strategic skills, played without any discrimination of race, sex or creed. The Federation actively supports the game through its website and has a growing membership thanks to the increasing interest in poker as a legitimate leisure activity and the new poker clubs opening across the country.

The CPF is a non-profit organisation. As part of its remit it also seeks to educate and inform government decision makers that poker is a game of skill rather than a gambling game of chance. The first CPF tournament is scheduled to take place in June 2010.
