WSOP main event champion in 2008, winning more than $9 million, Peter Eastgate was then the youngest ever winner at the age of just 22.

Now based in London, the young Danish pro has since maintained an impressively steady record in tournament poker, finishing second in the 2009 EPT London event.

“I warmly welcome the IFP," said Eastgate. "Poker is thriving internationally and needs the strong leadership and co-ordination of other major mind sports.”
