James McManus USA

American writer and teacher James McManus reached the final table of the World Series main event in 2000, writing a thrilling account of the experience in Positively Fifth Street.

In 2009 he followed up with the definitive history of poker, Cowboys Full. Of IFP's arrival on the poker scene, McManus says:

"Poker has become a hugely popular competitive and recreational activity around the world. It needs the best possible co-ordination and leadership at the international level, of the calibre enjoyed by other major mind sports. This is only one of the many benefits the IFP will bring."
